I was sitting in my hot tub in my backyard,i frequently look up at the stars when sitting in my hot tub,i glanced off to the left toward the south and i immediately brought my attention to a very bright sphere like object traveling maybe at about 7000 to 10000 feet traveling at about 400 mph,i would say it was twice as bright as venus but larger and had no sound or flashing lights,the sphere of light at that distance was about the size of my small finger nail,as the sphere traveled toward the northwest is seemed to get dimmer as it was going away,it didn't seem like it took to long for it to cross the sky,but i never saw the light flicker or flash,just one constant bright light.the sky was still very dark when it was directly in my foward line of sight,and extremely bright for about 4 to 6 seconds,but as it traveled away from me i could still follow it,it seemed to get dimmer and smaller as it traveled away from me to the northwest,but i followed it with my eyes till it went out of sight,i would say it took about a minute to cross the sky.it couldn't have been a plane,no running lights,or a helicopter,too fast.
