We saw 8 orange lights tracking from north-west to south-east while we were driving through Patten, Maine on Friday, 4/6/2013 at 20:30.We were driving back from Bangor, Maine on Route 11, headed north at approximately 8:30 pm, EST. We had switched drivers in Smyrna, Maine. We had just driven into Patten, Maine when we saw orange lights, flying low. We counted 8 lights, flying low, tracking from north-west to south-east. They looked like ultra-light planes, but it was completely dark. We passed a church parking lot in Patten. There were two pick-up trucks in the parking lot, the other occupants also watching the lights, and one vehicle half-out in the road (Route 11). That vehicle moved out of our way after we came to a stop on Route 11. We had eaten steak, potatoes, salad, and had drunk iced tea and coffee. Two middle-aged women and one young woman in the car, one a church deacon. We had been driving along and singing folk songs.
