When I saw it through the trees it looked like a really bright orange light,there was no sound,it came from our left,I was on the roof watching the eclipse with my bf and his dog,he has a platform up top,its a 2 story house;I saw the light and told him to look,we watched this object move around the trees and pass by us,it came from the east and headed off in a northerly direction(towards Marconi ave). We felt like it could see us,it was creepy. The object looked like it was only light at times and like it was on fire at others. There was no smoke or heat haze,it was not a meteor,too big and weird to be a sky lantern,it was big but not humongous. When it moved off north it seemed like I could see inside it and there was one big flame inside moving strangely.when it was gone the birds started chirping again,I didn't notice they had stopped(we have annoying birds that chirps randomly in the middle of the night). There were also flashes of light in different directions in the sky,but no rain here or conditions for heat lightning. It made me imagine the biblical stories of flaming angels coming down. I was exhilarated and afraid. We all sat dumbfounded,even the dog. Here is how my bf describes it,and we were not drinking or on drugs,for the record. {} a round/oval shape on fire,it looked holographic or not right,it didn't move like real fire,there was no smoke,I didn't hear any sounds,it moved pretty fast,we watched it for about 5 minutes till it disappeared to the North,never in my life have I been so sure I saw a UFO.
