As I was driving from Montague NJ to Middletown NY, I was on Rt. 84 headed East. I saw something that looked like a plane. It was directly under the cloud coverage. It was as large as a plane and appeared to have wings or be in a boomerang shape. There were flashing lights on the bottom of the object. Green, red, and blue I beleive. I remember thinking why the plane appeared to be hoovering instead of moving. I kept my eye on it as I was driving on the highway. Never would I have thought of it to be other than a plane. Especially since I have seen a UFO about 4 or 5 months ago. Why would I ever get the chance to witness something twice in a life time? I did not expect what happened next. As I watched this "plane", a beam of light poured out of it facing up from the roof of the object. This beam of light looked like a shower head. How water streams out, that is how the light was coming out of the roof of the object, pointing into the cloud coverage. Two seconds after, the object follows the light. Goes straight up into the cloud coverage with no difficulty with movement. As it was cloudy and raining off and on all day, the object was gone. I could not see it or the lights anymore. I was instantly scared. I was in disbeleif as my first experience was differ and i felt no fear. I may have felt fear as I thought I was looking at a plane. I was completly wrong.
