Shortly after 3 am Thursday May 8 2014 I decided to push the trash can to the curb for pick up. I am walking north as I do this.My peripheral vision picks up light/movement in the sky to my left (west).I see a blue glowing object (eliptical) with a fuzzy white outline. This object is descending in an arc towards the northwest horizon. It is at least half as large as the largest moon I've seen or it is more than 2 times the size of the moon I saw during the recent eclipse of the moon. The object is silent. I hear nothing. The object takes about 3 to 4 seconds to make it's arc in the sky and disappears behind my horizon to the northwest. The object had short trails from it's top and bottom from my perspective.I was shocked when I first saw the object. I had never seen anything like it before. I felt uncomfortable because I didn't know what it was. Now I think perhaps it was a bolide or space garbage.
