On the night of may 15'th 2013, I was looking for UFO's out my side window like I do every night from 11 PM to 2 AM the next day. I was filming the sky like I do during these 'watches' when I saw a brief but very weird flash of light emit from the sky directly behind the tree 50 feet ENE from me. It was around 11:30 PM. the light was about twice the width of the tree trunk and about the height of a branch on the tree when it was cut from the tree or so. Immediately I saw another flash of light, much dimmer to the right and below of the bigger flash. I never saw it flash again... It was very bright, as bright as a flash of lightning. I wondered if it was lightning, but I heard no thunder and the flash did not brighten the entire sky like lightning would.
