Cornwall NY, lower Hudson Valley, about 11:00 am. Noticed very bright star in NW sky. Very bizarre on a bright sunny day to see a star this clear. Made no sense and I kept staring at it. Then I noticed it was moving very slowly. Then.. BOOM.. there were 3 more, less bright in a formation to the NE of the original bright "star". They were all moving in tandem. Then boom.. the three all jumped to a new location, again in tandem. Then boom.. 2 were gone. Then boom.. 3 reappeared. These weren't speeding away, they would be there and then- poof, be gone. It was a very clear sky. I called my wife who came running and she saw this as well. I watched this show for a good 20 minutes. Finally it was back to just the brightest object. THEN.. wham.. there was another equal in brightness for a couple of minutes. Then, and I was fixated on this, barely blinking, they were both gone. I have always wanted to believe in this stuff, but everytime I would see something it would just look like a frisbee and a badly focused camera, and so I could never really get behind it. This was clear as a bell. It was not swamp gas. They were not balloons. "Stars" do not magically do this. So.. now I have seen with my own eyes. There was a commercial airliner that passed right by this, and I'm very curious as to what they saw.
