Driving down the street at the same level as the moon, southwest, I initially thought what I saw was Mars. Realizing it was too large for Mars or a plane I stopped to watch it. It was red to red orange and initially moving then remained still. It would move and stop and suddenly made a sharp turn to the west and immediately disappeared. Before it disappeared I got my binoculars out and it jumped in the sky, made the sharp turn and disappeared.
