I went outside to put on the grill cover, I noticed a very bright light in the sky to the East. It was brighter than any star I've ever seen, but appeared stationary. I kept looking at it, since I view stars regularly with a telescope i did not recognize this object at all. It was so bright it had lines coming off of it like how stars are portrayed in paintings. I still can't believe how bright it was. It was just stationary so I assumed it was just a star, then it started moving slowly to the South. It moved in a straight line, I screamed for my husband to come look, and it started getting dimmer and dimmer until it disappeared within seconds. He never saw the object. Ive never seen any celestial object or aeronautical craft do this. I am a firm believer that life exists elsewhere in the universe, but I also believe it is impossible that life could or would want to ever visit here. I feel absolutely crazy for reporting this object, but I absolutely saw what I saw.
