My son's best friend and three of his college friends went hiking Mt. Kahtadin in Baxter State Park on August 10, 2014. At approximately 3/4 of the way to the peak(10 am) they were resting and they all saw a vapor trail. All four boys caught the image on their phones. I don't think it was an astroid because as far as I know asteroids don't loop and gun themselves straight into the water. Could you tell me what you think it is?
