I was driving home from work/errands on rt 7 approaching exit 12 headed north towards New Milford.Object was extremely bright, pulsating, couldn't help noticing. At 1st thought was a helicopter or low flying plane headed towards me which would explain the bright light.Decided to get off at exit and stop at light to observe. Object appeared to stay stationary and still pulsating and bright. Decided to get back on rt 7 highway extension to head towards it and get a better look.As I drove closer to the object I rolled down my window and could see something dripping from it as it hovered over the quarry/water near the highway. Looked like molten metal, much like sparks falling from someone welding. Under the object I could clearly see several lights and some kind of shape (couldn't tell if wings or octagonal shape), so I thought it could be some kind of military or civilian aircraft, but it was so low I thought I would have heard it (even traveling at 50 mph). I did not hear anything and could not explain the dripping material.I had to continue on the 2 lane highway and lost site of the object. I called my husband who was passing through shortly after me (about 10 minutes behind) and he did not see anything. Although I had trouble with my phone and bluetooth stereo which had been working fine moments earlier, I had to reset my phone in order to call him.Others on the highway slowed down too, so I'm sure others saw it too!
