At first it was a steady light which began to pulsate eventually. It was stationary at one point but then began to travel pretty steadily. Then becameeratic as well as the flashing. You couldn't really see the shape since the flash was so bright. At one point it was a mile away and appeared to be brighter than a flash of lightning. It had a green and orange hue that rotated back and forth from each color. It was north west towards Poughkeepsie.
