Was driving home headed southwest and noticed two star like objects very bright, above each other. Maybe top one was at 1 o'clock position. Then saw the top star move clockwise towards a 3 o'clock position. As I was diving I thought I would come towards them but they were actually moving off in same direction as me. Headed SW down the Gulf Coast of Fl. Tried to keep an eye on them but treeline got in the way. I was in Northport when I first saw them, headed to Port Charlotte. They were very bright in starlike color. When I finally got to SR 776, I couldn't tell where they were as after the initial split they moved off in two different directions though heading SW. Thought it was odd and actually thought about calling air traffic control at Punta Gorda airport but thought that would be a waste of time as I probably wouldn't get the information I was seeking.
