My dad was outside on our front porch. He saw 2 large, sphere shaped, solid red lights moving slowly toward the house. I can't estimate altitude, but they were flying fairly low in the sky. They appeared to be moving together in formation. There were no blinking lights as normal aircraft would have. There was also no sound coming from the lights. They went out of sight behind the house. When we went to the back to watch. They stopped for a couple of minutes. One then suddenly disappeared. The other continued to stay still for a few more seconds before it got smaller and small until it was no longer visible. As it was going out of sight, it seemed to be moving straight out from where it was in the sky. It just kept getting smaller and smaller. I'm not sure what this was. It isn't like anything I've ever seen before. I know since it was new year's eve, you would think fireworks, but these were not fireworks. I thought maybe they were some sort of drones or helicopters, but there were no red, and green blinking lights or sounds... only large solid red lights. In the video, they appear to dim a few times, but that is just due to the poor quality. They were glowing the whole time before they went out of sight. What do you think? Can anyone explain this to me? Sorry for the poor quality of video and photos... Iphone doesn't do so great with night shots.
