On Dec 27, 2014, I was travelling on I-70 East from a friend's house in Columbia, Maryland, around 4 PM. I saw something large and white in the sky perhaps just about one or two miles straight ahead of me. (I was about to merge onto the Baltimore beltway.) The object didn't appear to be moving. Instead, it hovered not far above some buildings/residences. I saw no exhaust coming from the object. It bears mentioning, though, that there were more vapor trails in the sky that day that I can ever remember seeing--and I'm an Air Force brat!I don't think the object was a dirigible, given its shape. All I know is that I have absolutely no doubt that there was something in the sky on Dec 27. My hope is that the "something" can be easily explained!
