I was driving from Harrington to Cherryfield on RT 1 and noticed the bright light in the sky. I thought it was a bit odd to see a "star" this early and then observed the object elongate slightly and get brighter (at this point it was roughly about the size of a penny if you held your hand up and peered between you index finger and thumb). All of a sudden the light disappeared as if to be moving away from the earth (not across the sky like as if it were an airplane).
