UFO over Palm Valley, Ovideo, Seminole County, Florida.
My mother, a 79 year old, UFO non-believer, reported to me that at around 7 am on 03/03/15, she observed a bright orange, fiery sphere hovering above the tall hedges of her neighbor's house, across the street. She said that she was in her kitchen when she noticed a bright reddish orange glow coming from outside the windows in the next room. The blinds were down but she could still detect the odd, bright light. She thought perhaps there was a fire in a nearby house. She knew it wasn't the sun since the light was coming from the west. The sun rises in the east. The morning was somewhat foggy and overcast. When she peered through the blinds, she observed a large, fiery ball low in the sky above the house across the street. The object appeared motionless. It was as bright as though it were a ball of fire. The object produced no smoke or exhaust. The object made no sound. After a few seconds, the object either disappeared or moved out of sight. My mother reported nothing strange after the sighting. Interestingly, she did not feel any fear. She was confused but not frightened at all.
[[Additional information sent by witness]]
I brought up the incident with my mother this evening on the phone. She again retold the events and described feeling awe-struck but not afraid. She clarified some of the details of the event. The object she saw which was casting a orange light was not bright (like the sun) it was more like the color orange illuminated. It was not a ball of fire. I will try to get her to sketch and color what she saw so that I may have a clearer understanding. I'll be happy to share what she produces.Interestingly, over the years, my mom has told stories of seemingly random, "strange" occurrences. It was during tonight's conversation that she and I started seeing the pattern. Mom has always said that when she is asleep, she often feels as though she is not in her bed but somewhere far away. She has vivid "dreams" where she feels she is observing other people in far-off lands. She hears the languages being spoken but she never understands them. For years she has warned family, etc. to never touch her when she is sleeping because it will greatly startle and frighten her. When Im sleeping, Im not here, she is known to say.Mom has, over the decades, seen figures - sometimes men, sometimes children in various locations. Once she was walking down a hallway in a friend's apartment and saw a "man" standing at the end of the hall. In recent years, she has described feeling sometimes like she is not alone in bed at night. She has the perception, quite frequently, that there are others in her room. A few months ago, there was a little girl in her bedroom. Mom looked at the girl and said, "get out". The child vanished. She has, mind you, described no fear at all. The perception, she says, is not frightening. There is nothing menacing or scary about "anyone" she has seen. Mom does not believe in ghosts and goblins. She is 79 years old and she lives alone. The nighttime events, I always figured were the workings of her slumbering brain. Vivid dreams can often seem real. However, my mother, who has never believed in the the existence of UFO's, saw a spherical object omitting some sort of light, hovering above the neighbors house across the street, in the daylight, while awake and conscious. This was not a dream. Mom accepts that what she saw was very real and certainly unlike anything she has ever seen. Interestingly, she seems to be connecting the sighting of the orb to the feelings of being visited. I'll be visiting her in April, so I'll have a chance to explore this further.
