At approximately 8:30 pm my husband and I exited out vehicle in our drive way and noticed in the air, high and just barely obstructed by cloud cover, a flying object emitting incredibly bright light moving at a high rate of speed through the sky. The brightness and unusualness of the colors caught our attention. The object was visible in the north, high above us, moving east. It was flashing red, then, blue, then green, in a rotational pattern, left to right (counterclockwise). The object reflected this incredibly bright light onto the clouds, making them glow in a halo around the light source. It moved very rapidly. To the east planes could be observed, which their warm with lights, and flashing red.This object moved at least twice as fast, and the lights were nit exactly blinking, more like rotating. The brightness reminded me of LED lights in comparison to traditional lights. The object remained heading east at a steady rate of speed and direction before disappearing into the clouds, then reappeared from the clouds on a northeasterly path at a consistent speed. It then continued on until no longer visible due to cloud cover.We are near Luke Airforce Base, and are used to the jets and planes flying nearby and over head. This was something we have not witnessed before. It made no sound, not even a lingering after sound like a jet. Completely noiseless. I could observe planes in the area, and this made no resemblance to them. During the sighting, we were calm, quiet and curious, watching silently after first exclaiming, "what the f*ck?" It left us puzzled, so I felt it worth reporting.
