I was in the backyard grilling, and sat down to relax. I bright object caught my eye so I tilted my phone up and started recording. The object had disappeared, but then emerged from behind (above it looks like) an old jet contrail. It left no contrail itself and was much faster than any plane. It did not look like a meteor or falling star and maintained a steady course towards the northwest. I lost sight of it when it went behind the trees.
