4th of July, outside with the family watching fireworks, about 10:45pm Central Time. Dark sky rural area without "city lights" and clear no clouds, stars visible. We observed 3 individual lights 2 in close proximity and one following about 20 seconds later, no obvious structure approximately 800-1000 ft in elevation traveling from SE to NW. About 15 seconds travel time from horizon to horizon. This object was a shock to see because it appeared so close without sound, I could not hear any sound from objects, my wife said she could hear a strange fan noise but no one else could hear any sound from any of the objects. There was no visible structure to the object but the first 2 were glowing red/orange and there 3rd one was a brighter orange glow. We are in proximity to two Air Force Bases and are very familiar with military aircraft and operations and this was the first time these objects have been observed.
