Around 8:50 pm Friday Aug. 14 2015 I saw what I thought was the landing lights for a passenger jet coming towards me. I noticed the light was orange not white and continued watching. The light was heading from the SW to the NE below the cloud layer. As the object got closer it looked like it was burning, but there was no smoke or trail visible. There was no sound associated to the object. After the object passed my location and I saw it from behind it looked the same. I checked local sourced for a "fireball" sighting in my area but found nothing. This is the first time I've seen a "fireball" like this.
