As I exited my vehicle, I glanced up at the stars and noticed some incredibly bright ones of an odd amber color. Then I noticed they were moving towards me, but they were not blinking like a plane would. They were silent. They filed slowly across the sky snaking back and forth a little single file. I tried to video them but it was very poor quality upon later review. I went into the house and woke my wife up and she came outside with me to watch them. They flew overhead. From the speed and side to side movement, I guessed they were less than 10,000 feet up. Toward the end we began to hear a plane, but as it got louder, I turned around and saw a plane approaching from the south. The lights on the end of the wings and on the bottom of the plane were flashing like a normal aircraft. It passed overhead at about the same altitude of the balls of light and disappeared in the direction they had left, approximately east north east. Their were about a dozen amber balls give or take. Each appeared round, steady, and following about the same distance from the leader.
