My 3 friends and I were out on the porch at 11:20pm at night, in Oregon at my house and one of us noticed a flash among the stars. We all looked straight up and saw the flash again. When the flash came again I looked at another star right next to the flash to keep track and see if the object was moving. The flash came again in the same spot. The flashes were pretty bright and appeared to be at a very high altitude. The flashes continued coming every 12 seconds or so, and the source creating the light flashes was not moving at all in comparison to the stars in the sky. After 4 or 5 minutes of this, and about 20 or 30 flashes, one final flash came that was VERY bright. This all happened in the same stationary spot and after that final flash we did not see it again. We continued staring for at least 10 minutes but it did not come back.
