I was on my back deck observing the sky with my binoculars just before darkness fell when I noticed some 'stars' that were too dim to be naked eye objects. This wasn't a big deal, but it became one when I noticed that one of the objects was slowly moving southward relative to the background stars. I supposed that it was simply a satellite but upon returning my gaze to the origin of the 'satellite' saw another identical object, but this one was heading to the northwest. I would follow them visually until they became obscured behind nearby trees or buildings, and ultimately counted five objects each moving away from the same point of origin that was very close(just to the right) to the star Markab(α Pegasi).
