I was on the front porch with my mom sitting and smoking. When out of know where the super bright object appeared to the east. It was heading west when my mom said my name and look! I then saw the object locked my eyes on it as it was headed toward us and then stopped above the houses at my fence row. The object was really bright and pulsating an orangish reddish and almost yellow at times. When we said to each other what the hell is that. The object hovered for a second then turned due north increasing speed until it blinked out or disappeared in to the clouds. Total event was likely 1-2 minutes. We live close to port Columbus Airport and see planes and choppers daily. Also there was a plane to the north making a banking turn around the airport at the same time we saw the object! I don't think I will be sleeping tonight or any time soon. It was totally baffling! We have never seen anything like that before.
