I was driving to work at about 6am Friday nov 13th Heading north on interstate 57 about two miles from the Rantoul exit (home of former chanute air force base) There was a light haze but good visibility, The sun was just coming up, i noticed a bright white light straight ahead of me. No stars were visible so it instantly caught my attention, the light had no colors no flash and didn't appear to be plane or a helicopter, it was the only light and a very bright object, it moved slowly from west to east for about 10 seconds after I noticed it then just vanished, poof gone right before my eyes without a fade, like a switch was turned off, i tried to see if it returned but had reached my exit and town blocked any more viewing possibilities. I was surprised how many similar reports are made.
