Got home around 10:20pm. Very clear, starry night. I had seen a shooting star 30 min earlier driving home. I shut off my driveway light just to look at the stars for a minute before going inside. I saw a plane fly over. It may have been at 10,000 or 15,000 ft. I could hear the "shhhh" jet sound and see blinking lights, as well as maybe a strobe light on it. But what I could not comprehend was the object in front of it. Maybe 2 or 3 football field lengths in front of that jet traveling at exactly the same speed. I could see 4 or 5 bright whitish lights, but at that distance not really a shape. It could have been round. The lights were in a small cluster, making me think they were attached to that object. The object, if it was spherical in shape, would have been twice as big as that jet following it. There were no blinking lights on that object. I thought it could be two military jets flying close to one another. I don't think so. That one in front looked very different from the other. The pair disappeared behind some trees. I told my teenage son about it. We both went outside a few minutes later. We did see another airplane, but it was headed in a different direction, and was way up there, like 30,000 ft.
