On January 16, early in the morning at between 5 am - 5:15 am, i had been up most of the night due to high winds, thunderstorms and a tornado warning in the area. The storm had just pasted our area and I went out to the lanai to check out any damage in yard when I happened to notice two very bright lights just west of my house at tree top level. They were moving apart from one another and then moved together. At first I thought they were maybe the coast guard looking for a ship or something. Then all of a sudden these two lights started shooting out what looked like three projectiles which looked like red cords with white large balls on the ends of the red cords which were attached to the lights and then released towards the ground or into the water as I could not tell if they were over the gulf or near shore. As I watched in shock of what I had just witnessed they continued to do this 3 more times, about three projectiles at once. I then ran and grabed my phone as It was the closest video recorder i could find and videoed these two lights for another 18 minutes or so. The lights continued to hover and move towards each other and apart. I then ran inside to wake up my husband and they were gone by that time.
