We were driving over Central on Whisman Rd, and to the east I saw a ruddish object, rectangular roughly and tilted at an angle. It was just sitting there in the sky above the eastern ridge east of Milpitas (this is on an overpass, you get a nice view of those hills). I thought at first it was a blimp. I told my driver to turn around to get another look. The 2nd time around there was a second object of the same exact size, but dark gray or maybe black. They were both moving a little in place, but it looked odd. I couldn't understand whether they were near or far. After a couple more drives 'round, a 3rd large object of the same exact shape appeared - but it was off-white. I was convinced it must have been an air show, as Moffett Field isn't far away. But it was the last drive round that gave me puzzlement, as we both saw 3 small silver-white (planes?) pass in front of the large red rectangle - which gave us some idea of distance/perspective.
Did anyone else see this? There aren't any airshows going on in Mountain View/Santa Clara/Milpitas - etc. I've looked.
