My husband and I were driving home from a picnic and were almost home when I noticed a Sundog (natural atmospheric phenomenon) in the sky. It was about 7:15 p.m. and the sun was low in the sky. I told my husband I wanted to get a photo of the Sundog and knowing I wouldn't be able to get a good view in our own yard due to trees, we drove a little ways beyond our driveway. My husband was driving and he pulled over to the shoulder of the road. We live on 65 acres in a rural area and we pulled over in front of an open field which is part of our property. There are large electrical transmission towers which run through this field and these are visible in the photos I took. I jumped out of our truck and snapped 4 consecutive photos on my phone. (Samsung Galaxy S5) My husband stayed inside the truck. We then drove to our house. I wanted to share a photo of the Sundog to Facebook and so I was trying to choose the best photo of the four. After deleting two of them, I was debating between the two remaining. That's when I noticed something strange in one of the photos. I enlarged it (on my phone) and to the left of the Sundog there was a large circle with what appeared to be four lights or objects within the circle. I then enlarged the second photo and the circle was also visible but was now to the right of the Sundog and positioned higher in the sky. The four lights/objects within the circle were also in a different pattern. I showed the photos to my husband, and also sent them to my son and to my daughter and son-in-law. None of us can figure out what this is. I did not see this object while taking the photos. I also did not hear anything such as a plane, helicopter, etc... . In the photos, the setting sun is on the right and the Sundog is to the left.
