Driving east on interstate 84 a few miles west of Newburgh, NY at 2 PM September 2nd, 2016 I spotted 4 small round bright white objects slowly moving south across my vision at fairly low altitude. I thought the objects might be birds but the formation seemed a little odd for birds and they were very bright white. I thought, perhaps seagulls as they drifted out of my vision. Before I got to where they had gone over the highway 2 small jet planes (probably military) streaked across after them at low altitude and very high speed. I could see the exhaust from one jet very clearly. They were quite close behind the objects which were now out of view. Probably less than a minute later the jets streaked back in a north easterly direction, this time going up. The actions of the jet planes made me reconsider the idea that the small white objects were seagulls.
