This is the description written soon after the sighting. i had walked down to and was sitting out front of richard's trailer. it was before 7 am. i was on the picnic table looking nw at the morning sky. a big jet goin' over long contrail 777 looking thing, very graceful, she was movin' on with those twin turbofans, and the swept wings, always loved airplanes and turned as far as i could to watch her laying those contrails or chemtrails or whatever. i had a good view of the sky as it stretched se gone over the tall pines and over the mighty atlantic. i turned to sit and was surprised by two more heavies in a slot wing formation, heavies but no contrails and moving on too. and of all things in stack wing formation as if they needed the same patch of sky. they seemed to be flying along the contrail of the first plane. i was thinking. have to be military planes civilians are not allowed to do that, way past mid-air collision. they glittered in the morning sun and i continued to watch them go into a cloud that just 30 seconds before the other plane had passed right through it in sight, it was just a veil. i blinked and they were gone. just gone. i squinted, and searched ahead where i knew they should be. nothing. i had watched the first plane a good 25 seconds past that point. i figure they were somewhere over the north end of the cape when they vanished. (3). i knew they were passenger jets (4). one flew by in the lead, and two behind it vanished, (5). i was incredulous, a bit in shock. (6). i blinked and they vanished.
