I stepped outside for a smoke and as usual looked up at the sky. i suddenly saw a bright white light to the southeast and it was motionless. i called my daughters out and they both witnessed it. it suddenly moved slowly toward the east then stopped and hovered again. it was too far away to make out any details other than the bright white light. i estimate it was at an altitude of over 1500 feet and several miles to the se of us. it was, when moving, going in a different direction than the clouds which were moving to the north and was visible through all but the heaviest clouds. it suddenly disappeared in a passing cloud and was no longer visible after the cloud had passed. this is my third sighting of unidentified airborne objects in the last six months and the longest event lasting over 15 minutes from when i first noticed it. i was excited as usual to again witness an airborne anomaly. the first was a disc like object over grand coulee dam in 1956. the second in northern arizona in 1965 when dad, an ex b17 waist gunner, pointed to an object flying into the sky at a high rate of speed to the east of us. every one i see adds to the excitement.
