We released a helium filled pink balloon on wolfe street. We drove down to the Giant Tiger about 5 minutes later. My wife had run into the store while I waited with my two daughters in the back. I looked out the driver side window to see if by chance I could see the balloon. I almost immediately saw a white sphere (appeared to be completely smooth) no more than 100-200 ft in the air (size hard to tell at a distance) about 6" maybe little bigger. It flew directly over top of the truck (in the direction of former AECL now CNL) it was not extremely fast, but was out of sight in 10-15 seconds. I had enough time to realize I was seeing something strange and said to my daughters in the back to look. My youngest was able to see it too. My oldest couldn't get over in time to see because she was buckled in). This the second time in my life we have seen a strange object in Deep River. The other happened at fireworks display in 2009. My wife and I with friends were on the peer by the marina. It was only a minute or two into the fireworks with everyone looking toward shore my wife had looked to the opposite shore to see a single glowing light that hovered in place above the hill (it was not very high just above the hills couple, few hundred feet) lasting long enough for us all to see it about 1 minute) it then shot away really fast, north east. It did not speed up. It went fast from a full stop. I just think its funny that both encounters have something being released into the sky before we see an object. It maybe only that we are already looking into the sky or is it a result?
