We were traveling north on the i -10 frontage rd near vado nm around 9:15 when we saw what we thought was a stadium light on the west side of the road. it began to move rapidly to the south in a series of strobe like flashes. the flashes were bright but silent. they moved in a straight line. they moved abnormally fast, we could not even approximate the speed. i personally saw 4 flashes before the lights moved out of my line of vision (i was driving) and my husband saw 6. we estimated the object was less than 500 ft above the ground and was probably 1/2 mile or so from the rd. the light was silver colored, and had the effect of a strobe light. i am a skeptic, but this is the second unexplainable ariel event i have witnessed in the past 10 years. our reaction to this event is one of disbelief and of course trying to find a logical explaination for the phenomenon.
