A triangular formation was over the Springfield, MO area at about 22:00 CDT. I noticed the blinking triangle set against the triangular legs of Sagittarius. Turns out they were three crafts heading east, west, and NNE(?). I didn't notice anything heading south. Each craft was wider than long. There were four lights. IIRC, the side lights were red. Did not look like planes, too low for satellites (and the only one in the sky was ENVISAT which was on the other side of the sky). Now, I'm used to planes from the airports drifting their sounds over our hills. This was different: a highish, far-off hum. I reckoned them for drones, but they must have been hella high because they were moving fast. Not blink-of-the-eye fast, but they each crossed three counties in a matter of minutes. They were certainly faster than normal air traffic. I tried to watch all three, but I lost sight of the westerly one first. As I looked back and forth between them, I noticed another something heading toward where they were originally hovering. It was coming from somewhere between NW to NNW (?) headed toward the legs of Sagittarius. This one had a much deeper hum, but still not the enginey sound of a plane, let alone the the cutting of a jet. It may have been going as fast, but it's spread of lights was larger (lower?). Once it got to about the Springfield area it started going ESE. UFO ≠ aliens, so I thought I should report it here. It creeped me the hell out.
