Multiple objects, triangular in shape and extremely large with pulsating lights at the tips - occasionally casting a "flash" to the ground. The area between the lights was immense, and no stars (although there were many stars out last night) could be seen between the triangulated areas. Helicopters appeared to be following the large triangles. Also, there appeared to be many very strange light phenomenons in the area. One was three orange very distinct lights, equally distanced (parallel) from each other, and looked like they were "dripping" down...all the lights were the same distance down - when the globes of light were at the bottom and would go "out".... a new set of three would start dripinv down fromvthe top again. In addition there were bouncing lights seen in the trees, (very small, and not like abeam at all. We probably saw a hundred elk, moose, and deer, as well as some horses - out toward the highways; while such sightings of animals are common for that area, nowhere nears that number. My daughter, her fiancé, and I were in the car, and all of us were sober - headed back to Alamogordo NM from Carlsbad Caverns, in Carlsbad NM. The bat flight exhibit at the end of the tour was a bit disappointing, as relatively few bats came out after an enormously long wait; but, I'm glad we waited or we would not have seen the (many) strange lights [[although at the time we were absolutely terrified, and before the many animals started coming out of the woods, we were reaching speeds approaching 100mph in order to put as much distance between ourselves and the many (MANY!!!) lights (they were not acting like normal lights at all). My daughter's fiancé did not believe in that kind of stuff t all - until last night.
