I work at mather (used to be air force base) they still use the runways for different military aircraft. yesterday there was a plane going around and around the base, it looked like a spy plane with the long wing span, skinny body. it flew around the base about four times then it landed. at the same time there were two military helicopters flying around, as i watched one helicopter fly toward to the east over my head, just behind it much higher were three balls of light. at first i thought it was birds but watching them, i realized first, there are no white birds that size that can fly that high up. with the helicopter flying in front of them (from my vantage point) it made their distance a little easier to see, they were way up there. guessing their altitude, it looked between 2000 and 5000 feet up. they flew in circles around each other, gliding, formed a triangle, went in the different directions. there didnt seem to be any sudden movements. this lasted about 10 minutes. i considered photographing them but they were too far away.
