Extremely bright red light in NW night sky. No defined shape. Slowly traveled eastward. Light dimmed and disappeared.My husband and I had just walked outside to get in the car around 8:30pm. It was a clear, calm night with no wind. I looked up, above our apartment complex, and directly overhead I saw an extremely bright red light. It was not an airplane (my husband is an airplane buff) because there was no defined shaped or night lights, nor was it a meteor or comet because it had no tail, nor firework debris because it did not descend. We stood on the sidewalk and watched this strange light travel slowly eastward. At one point it seemed to hover and then turned to the east. As it traveled eastward, the light dimmed and then total blackness. No sign of it anywhere.
