Object behind blimpOn August 17, 2012 at around 11:25 hours I went outside to have a smoke, I was looking due south and in the sky I saw the Met Life blimp. I thought that would be a cool picture and took out the camera I always have with me and snapped a picture the time stamp on the photo was 11:29:29. Nine seconds later I snapped another one as the nose of the blimp had dipped down the time stamp on this one was 11:29:38. When I opened the picture up on my computer and saw the photos there was an object in the first picture behind the blimp but the second picture only had the blimp. The camera [a Sony DSC T-10, 7.2 mp] was set at the highest resolution 7.2 mega pixels and was at maximum zoom, I do this regularly for distant photos so they can be magnified again on the computer.After I realized that there was something behind the blimp I zoomed in on that portion of the image just shy of having it go mosaic and have not been able to identify what it is. But it does look like a lot of photos I’ve seen on the internet. If you look closely there seems to be a pinkish haze around the object. Maybe an energy field? It should be noted that commercial air traffic is regularly in the air space in the direction I was looking. T F Green Airport [Warwick Rhode Island] is approximately 6 miles south from the position I snapped the photos from. I only took the photos because the blimp was so clear and in a cloudless sky. I saw nothing in the sky but the blimp when I took the picture. It would be difficult to estimate the distance of the blimp from my position but I would take a stab at one to two miles.Also I do not have any photo enhancing software to see the image through filters as often shown on the internet but maybe someone else could do this.((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information.
