Hovering orange light that quickly accelerates and disappearsI opened the door to call the dog in for the night and as it opened I saw a bright "lamp-light orange" coloured object in the sky directly ahead. Dog was looking in its direction it instantly shot off horizontally to my left, gaining speed quickly and soon disappeared as if it had gone behind a cloud but it was a clear night with good visibility and no cloud cover. I stayed and watched for a while but it was gone.Time of year would suggest a firework but I haven't seen one like it, that hovers and then accelerates horizontally. I'm estimating it was 60ft from the ground.Weather conditions: cold, dry, clear night, stars clearly visible, no / v.little cloud cover.Rushall, Walsall, West Midlands, UK.
