I went outside for a cigarette and immediately noticed a pulsating light directly south of my location. I was then joined by 2 friends of my nephew who asked me what I was doing. I told them that I was watching the pulsating light.I first noticed the light in the southeast part of the sky and as I watched it, you can clearly see that its path was to the northwest. The object also had the same flight path as do normal human made planes such as "Southwest airlines" but was further south (farther away from us than commercial airlines).I watched this object for about 2 1/2 minutes before I was no longer able to see it. The whole time there was never any other color visible and the rate of the flashing/pulsating light never increased or decreased in its rate of flashing.There was no sound because it was just too far away to hear any. Nothing electrical was interfered with and it never to my knoweledge made any landings. No dogs barking or interuption of the sound coming from any crickets.
