I was lying on my couch on Aug. 24th 2012 at 8:09 p.m. and observed a bright red/orange light moving slowly and getting brighter. It was coming towards me from the NE direction. Heading SW. My living room is all windows and sliders overlooking open space of marshes and river. We have a small local airport about 2 miles away, plus the Otis Airforce Base about 5 miles away. We see planes all the time, but this was different. There were no other planes in sight. The light looked like a fireball as it got closer to me. I went to grab my binoculars, (which took less than 10 seconds), and when I returned I could no longer see the object with the naked eye. I used the binoculars and scanned the sky and was able to see this dark black object. It was now traveling away from me heading NW. There were no lights visible at all, just the huge black object. I thought maybe it was a Stealth Fighter Plane due to the complete silence, but they always have some sort of lights. I tried to see the object without binoculars but was unable to find it. Although the object was only about 1/4-1/2 mile away, only with binoculars could I see it. I could no longer see it after it got blocked by the trees. Within seconds I saw another bright light coming from the same direction and on the same corse. It was identical to what I saw previous. Same bright fireball of light, and no lights at all when it started moving away from me. I did report it to police, but no other sightings were reported at that time. I look out these windows every night and have NEVER seen anything like what I saw. The unusual and strange silence along with very bizarre lights, left me feeling sure that what I saw was not a plane or space station. I'm not sure what I saw, but I know I saw something incredible! I felt weirdly excited the rest of the night as I looked out into the sky.
