13 year old son, getting ready for bed looked out back patio door and observed lights/objects moving across the sky from southeast to northwest direction. Wife quickly joined observation and called me up from the basement office to see. Objects were dark and not in a highly definable shape, although each one had a visible flame or fire. Speed was steady, not unusually fast. Direction appeared to be linear, no apparent horizontal or vertical movement during observation. Did view objects through binoculars, still could not identify.After last object no longer viewable due to obstruction by home, went to front lawn to see if objects were still visible. No sign of objects. Shortly thereafter sounds similar to gunfire or fireworks were heard. Do not recall number of reports.Presume this was some kind of fireworks display, no way to verify.
