View As Web Page Observed some strange goings on last night. We live in the country outside of Monroe City In. On the evening of 04/ 22/09 I thought I saw an iridium flare but this one had a top rectangle and a bottom rectangle that would trade places lighting up. I went into my shed building and returned outside in about 5 mins to view the western sky again. This time a rectangle appeared to the North North West and lit up again. This time some object shot out of it and at first it appeared to be a red flare with a contrail behind it. The red object then turned to white and started a white strobe and headed off to the west like any type of regular plane or jet. The large rectangular object lost its glow and disappeared from my view. All this occurred after 900 pm around total darkness. A passenger or military jet coming from the north should have seen this thing as they were above and to the north of it, about 30-45 secs away from the object but at a much higher altitude. About a month ago.. approx one week after a new communications tower was constructed to the south of us. Four red lights were observed to the north west of this new tower. At first I thought they were red flares from a plane but the lights didn���t move and I didn���t see or hear any planes in the area. The red lights were evenly spaced and if they were connected this object was huge. The lights blinked out one at a time and in order and I didn���t see them again or any other strange happenings that evening.
