I was driving home from Helen, GA to Blairsville, GA over black moutain/zell miller parkway, now, I drive this mountain pass at least 4 times a week at night, once I reached an elevation of about 2800' and cleared the trees I noticed something quite out of place, this object was definetly not a plane, it wasnt moving. Definetly not a star, as the circumfrence was too large, but you could still tell the object was at some distance off...It was just, this bright, spherical/star type object just sitting stationary to the WSW of my position. I pulled over at the peak of the moutain (3500') to get a better view, I obserbed the object for roughly 5 minutes. In that time frame the object seemed to move ever so slightly to the south. Whatever it was, it was quite massive. I guestimated the altitude to be about 14-18k Ft.just continued on home after the 5 minutes, too cold at that elevation. and unfortunately did not have a camera in that vehicle.
