It was a cloudy night. Sunday, July 28, 2013. I was sitting on the back porch with my dog, looking at the sky. All I could see were clouds, but then I noticed a weird triangle shaped object floating toward me from behind the house, I'd say less than 1,000 feet overhead. It was pretty close. I say it was triangular in shape, because there were 3 bars of amber-colored light on the object, and the 3 bars joined in the shape of a triangle, it appeared that the object itself was black. Above the triangular shape of lights, I could see a white aura of some sort, floating above it. The best way to describe it would be like when you look through steam over a grill, it makes everything look wobbly and fuzzy. It was not moving very fast, but it was moving in a straight line, from southwest to northeast. I quickly went inside to tell my fiance to come outside immediately so that he could see it. As it got directly over our heads, we both heard a low, faint sound from it. I describe it as a very low "whistling" sound, a sound similar to blowing straight over the opening of a soda bottle. My fiance describes it as sounding like it was powered by fire, like the sound a hot air balloon may make. It disappeared behind a large tree in our back yard. I kick myself now because I never thought to grab my cell phone to take a video of it. My dog did not seem to react to it. My description of the object does make it sound like it could have been powered by fire somehow, but it did not look that way from the lights, and I do not know of any flying objects that would be shaped this way.
