I was standing in my driveway with my dog at 7:45pm in the evening. it was dark, i could see orion in the sky just becoming visible over the tree line. the temp. was around 10 degrees. as i was looking up at the sky, i noticed multiple lights coming toward me from the s.E. the lights were white, glowing. they were moving in what looked like a non-rigid, v formation. they seemed to be moving independently of each other. they were moving silently, relatively slow, flying at the same height as a small twin engine plane would. they made no sound at all. i counted 9 individual lights. as the lights passed over directly above me, the v formation seemed to flatten briefly, then form again as they were flying away from me. they were heading n.W. the lights never blinked or faded. there were no other visible colors. after approximately two minutes of viewing the lights, they continued in a n.W. direction, disappearing over the tree line. i could not think of an explanation for what i saw, i don't know what they could have been. i was disappointed that i didn't have my phone with me, i would have tried to take video of them. i stood quietly while watching the lights in order to absorb as much of the event as possible. after they were gone, i became excited about what i just witnessed.
