I was on my street on idaho st. in yachats, or when i noticed sphere/orb objects in the sky. i was looking up at the stars because it was a beautiful clear night. i live a block from the pacific ocean. they were approaching from the north over land but very close to the beach. at first i thought they were low flying airplanes or helicopters but there was no noise and they were very bright and looked like balls of fire. originally 3 came up and over my neighbors house that is right on the ocean, i didn't know what to think as i watched them soundlessly fly by. i ran inside and then started filming them. the videos are terrible. they pulsated and also blinked on and off and at least one alternated from red to green. they seem to be on a straight course, but then they would go up and down or side to side rapidly. as i was filming the original group 3 that had moved to over the ocean, more came up over my neighbors house. they started pretty low (i have no idea how to estimate how high) and then went northwesterly to end up over the ocean. as they got further away they blinked on and off and some disappeared quickly and some dissipated slower and were gone. i'm not sure how many i saw in all, i think 6-8. i was all alone, no neighbors home. i went inside and called the sheriff department and felt like a nutter. and after researching online i think i've decided they were chinese lanterns.
