I just got off of work in Caribou Maine. I was heading North on Route 1 towards Van Buren Maine. I saw a green objects that lasts maybe three seconds. Green tail/middle with a white tip at the head. Looked almost like a glowing flying tad pole. This last three seconds and it vanished. This wasn't a planet, plane or helicopter. I considered maybe a shooting star but am not sure. Looking at images of shooting stars this was short, fat and didn't leave any type of trail behind as they do in the photos. I'm lucky I was able to view this as it happened so fast. I'm reporting this in case someone else out there saw what I saw tonight 6/23/2011 Wed 12:38 AM. While I wish to remain ANON please share this information. In 41 years I have never seen something like this while driving. Also the color dark green and glowing at the end and middle. This happened so fast I wouldn't have been able to take a photo. The object would have been gone before I pulled out any camera. Over and under small cloud cover.
